Floyd County Legacy Foundation Awards $400,00 in Funding to 17 Organizations

NEW ALBANY, Ind. – In February, the Floyd County Legacy Foundation (FCLF) solicited grant applications from local nonprofits whose mission is to help support Floyd County residents in Southern Indiana. For 2026, the FCLF is pleased to announce it has awarded grants to 17 area nonprofit organizations totaling $400,000.

The grant program, which is in its seventh year, awards grants to organizations that meet the needs and priorities of Southern Indiana residents living in New Albany, Floyds Knobs, Greenville, Georgetown, and Galena using the Priorities for Progress—Assets and Aspirations in Southern Indiana 2021 Report, which was produced in partnership with the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana and Indiana University Southeast Applied Research and Education Center.

This year’s grant recipients include:

  1. Brandon’s House Counseling Center - $45,000.00

  2. Personal Counseling Services Inc. - $30,000.00

  3. CASA of Floyd County Inc. $10,000.00

  4. Habitat for Humanity Clark & Floyd Indiana - $10,000.00

  5. Family Ark - $20,000.00

  6. Floyd County Prosecutor’s office - $15,000.00

  7. Big Brother’s Big Sisters of Kentuckiana - $15,000.00

  8. Choices Life Resource Center - $25,000.00

  9. Blessings in a Backpack Floyd County - $35,000.00

  10. Friends of Open Door Youth Services Inc. - $25,000.00

  11. Hope Southern Indian - $25,000.00

  12. Kerith Family Recovery - $10,000.00

  13. LifeSpan Resources Inc. - $10,000.00

  14. River Heritage Conservancy - $15,000.00

  15. Floyd County Parks & Recreation - $75,000.00

  16. Survivors of Abuse Restored (SOAR) Ministries $10,000.00

  17. Catalyst Rescue Mission - $25,000.00
